03/06/17 BE A BUILDER. BE A RESTORER.

03/06/17 BE A BUILDER. BE A RESTORER.

Sometimes we destroy relationships by constantly hammering, undermining, belittling, criticizing, abusing or ignoring someone. Years of destructive behavior not only destroys the relationship, but often destroys or at least cripples the victims, themselves. BUT THEN...

But then the victimizer suddenly realizes what he/she has done. BUT THEN, they don't even try to build a bridge of reconciliation. They often times do not even say that they are sorry for their abusive behavior. Or, if they say that they are sorry, it is weak and inadequate. In reality, more than a wimpy, "I am sorry," is needed to restore relationships.

Of course, no amount of human endeavor can restore ruined relationships. I takes Divine intervention. However, those who spent so much time, energy into destroying someone, ought to eagerly give of themselves to restore the injured person.

Even this requires Divine grace. If you have hurt others, dedicate yourself to being a, "people builder." It is the Christ like thing to do. He did it, though He was not the guilty party in a failed relationship. And the price He paid was far greater than anything we will ever need to give.
