05/19/17 REMEMBER, GOD'S WORD IS OUR FOUNDATION

05/19/17 REMEMBER, GOD'S WORD IS OUR FOUNDATION

One thing that Christian parents need to remember, EVERYDAY, is that their children, regardless of how mature, how advanced, how gifted, how special, how Christian those children may be, THEY ARE STILL CHILDREN AND STILL NEED PARENTAL AUTHORITY. It is easy to give more liberty to the more "developed" child but they are still CHILDREN.

I am constantly looking for a better way for Christians to communicate and looking for a SAFE social media, ESPECIALLY FOR CHILDREN, because the internet and uncontrolled media devices are not for children. Listen, no matter how careful you are as a parent, you must not give your child access to this world and you must not give them access to the internet world either. AND... YOU MUST NOT GIVE THE WORLD ACCESS TO YOUR CHILDREN.

I spend a lot of time on my computer, and I do a lot of ministry online. Even when I don't ask for it, I get crude, vulgar and vial communications, as well as information from the "angel of light," which is taking people captive. This is what our children are going to get, no matter how well you think you are monitoring them.

You are not depriving your children when you protect them from danger. But one small slip up on the internet can lead to a life of corruption and destruction. It is not just a matter of "maturity," it is a matter of spiritual development. Also, even if they make right choices when they encounter perversity, THEY HAVE STILL ENCOUNTERED PERVERSITY, and that leaves a deep scar that may never heal in this life.

Children do not need to drive cars or trucks, children do not need to be buddies with little criminals, children do not need to watch certain entertainment, children do not need to be placed under the authority of Secular Humanists, children should not be allowed to experiment with drugs (whether it is smoked, shot, snorted or swallowed), children should not be free to decide their own lifestyle or diet or dress code, and children do not need to be in possession of guns or freely join their friends in sleepovers. IN FACT, there is a whole life and world of SHOULD NOTS for children.

I don't usually get asked what I think about child rearing, and sometimes when I offer insight and knowledge and wisdom, I am thrown aside like an old shoe. That does keep the boogie man out of the children's lives. It only cuts off Biblical counsel off.

CHILDREN ARE GIVEN TO PARENTS, and PARENTS ARE GIVEN AUTHORITY OVER THEIR CHILDREN, to protect, to train, to provide.

I think it is a good Idea for parents to seek counsel and direction, and to accept guidance and correction.

Ultimately this is not about parents or counselors, IT IS ABOUT THE CHILDREN.
