As you know, I am always drawn back to the Biblical account of man's origin, because that is where we find the reason for man's sinful condition and the basis for man's salvation.
NO WONDER LIBERALISM TRIES TO DISCREDIT GOD'S WORD.
Three of the events that set the course for human relationships are;
Eve's openness to Satan,
Cain's jealousy, anger and violence against his brother,
Ham's disrespect for his father.
When your own thoughts (actually the influence of Satan) interrupts or contradicts the rule of God in your life (as with Eve), you are heading for a broken relationship with God and you will become a stumbling block to those nearest you (as with Adam).
When siblings allow selfishness and self righteousness and self assertion to take over, they will destroy their own flesh and blood.
When disrespect for parents rises up (especially parents who obey Jesus), then the disrespectful child (of any age) brings the judgment and wrath of God on himself.
Remember, the three main ingredients to rebellion are;
The lust of the flesh,
The lust of the eye,
and
The pride of life.
Guard your heart (affections, will, reason, emotions, conscience) and value God's human relationships (parents, pastor, partner in marriage) if you want to please God and bless others.
