04/27/17 THE BIBLICAL PRINCIPLE IS

04/27/17 THE BIBLICAL PRINCIPLE IS
(and it has proved to be livable),

IF we turn to the light (by faith and hope), and we do not turn back to the darkness (through doubt and complaining and negativity),
THEN the darkness does not grip us, does not overtake us, does not defeat us, does not consume us, does not terrorize us, does not control us.

But
If we shut out the Light of God, the Light of truth,
Then the darkness comes in like a flood and can carry us away in total devastation.
If we focus on the dark, we become resistant to the light, and we become more drawn to the darkness.

Then Again
But those who trust the Light of God will overcome the darkness, here and now, and forever.

John 3:19-21
(19) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
(20) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
(21) But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 11:9-10
(9) Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
(10) But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

2 Peter 3:10-13
(10) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
(11) Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
(12) Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
(13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
