05/23/17 BELONGING IS A PRIVILEGE AND A GIFT

05/23/17 BELONGING IS A PRIVILEGE AND A GIFT

Life is pretty simple for children. They have food, clothing, housing, instruction, direction, protection. Even when they face difficulties, they have support and encouragement. To varying degrees the parent will continue to provide loving care for the child, even into their adulthood.

As children of God, life is a lot simpler than a life without our heavenly Father. As adults we have our responsibilities and we live in a hostile environment, but we are not orphans or abandoned. In fact, we have the unfailing presence, support and encouragement of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 13:14
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

But don't forget, children can come to a time in their lives when they resist, resent and reject parental care. Likewise, God does not force His saving grace, His love or His partnership on anyone. Children can separate themselves from their parents, and in the case of Divine/human relationships, sin is the great separator. When separation from God takes place, it is because the child has turned from the Father, not because the Father abandons His child.
