A right relationship with God requires His children to align with Him and His will. It is impossible to be in a right relationship with God when we resist or reject the rule of God in our lives.
Of course, there is a popular religion that says obedience to God does not matter. It is really old. It started in the Garden and was the revelation of a spirit.
Genesis 3:4
