06/07/17 PRIDE IS A KILLER;
Remember Lucifer, Adam & Eve.
Pride is "inordinate self esteem."

Pride is of Satan, not of God.
Pride is worldly and hellish, not heavenly.
Pride is self centered, not Christ centered.

Pride shows itself in...
Pride of Face (personal appearance)
Pride of Place (personal accomplishment, abilities, and academic status)
Pride of Race (personal heritage)
Pride of Lace (personal wealth and social standing)
Pride of Grace (personal attainments in moral and spiritual arena).

My observation is that people are proud of their "knowledge," intelligence," "insights," "schooling." Pride in natural mental acumen and humanistic education, as well as "Christian" information, fills a person with self satisfaction and false hope. These people are difficult to reach with the message of salvation, because they base their relationship with God on how wise, or insightful they are. Their focus is on worldly, demonic, hellish, self values rather than humble submission to Divine revelation and authority.

1 John 2:15-17
(15) Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
(16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
(17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
