God decided that the husband is the head of the household and the pastor is the shepherd of his congregation.
GOD DID NOT MAKE ANY MAN TO BE A TYRANT OVER his family or congregation. Being the head does not give a man the right to intimidate or demean anyone. God expects Biblical rule of family and congregation to be based on truth, grounded in love and directed by self denial.
Being a Biblical leader requires a man to be a Biblical follower of Christ, producing the fruit of the Spirit, walking in the Spirit, speaking the truth in love.
Men who are more interested in being the "head of their home," or congregation, rather than they manifesting the likeness of Christ and providing for the needs, ALL THE NEEDS of their family or congregation are USURPERS, hypocrites and enemies of the cross. They are not only trying to rule as dictators they are trying to overthrow the rule of God in their own lives, their family's life and the life of the congregation.
A man who does not care for and serve the needs of his family or congregation is WORSE THAN AN INFIDEL.
DO NOT USE THE BIBLE AS AN EXCUSE TO BE A TYRANT.
(Though this article primarily addresses the leaders of families and churches, it is understood that the family/church should also be the godly, loving family/church that God calls them to be.)
