06/08/ NOT CONTRADICTORY, BUT COMPLEMENTARY TO EACH OTHER.

06/08/ NOT CONTRADICTORY, BUT COMPLEMENTARY TO EACH OTHER.

Q. Is there anything too hard for God?
A. No.

Q. Are there things impossible for God?
A. Yes.
(The impossibility is not a question of God's power, but of His nature and will).

Read the following list, but remember, I usually have a main point, so be sure to get it. (This is not an exhaustive list)

God cannot lie (Hebrews 5:18); or break a promise (Psalm 89:34).
God cannot change (Malachi 3:6).
God cannot deny Himself (2 Timothy 2:13).
God cannot be tempted to evil and He does not tempt any man to do evil (James 1:13).
God cannot accept, endure, tolerate false worship (Isaiah 1:13-14) or sin (Psalm 5:4-5; 34:15-16).
God cannot force the carnal mind into submission (Romans 8:6-8).

Romans 8:6-8
(6) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
(7) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
(8) So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

The reason that God cannot force the carnal mind to submit to His will is because God gave man the free will option to resist and reject His will. God would have to contradict Himself if He forced submission. However, God will judge and punish those who choose carnality over holiness of heart and life.

My point is that God has given us the power (authority) to resist and reject Him, but rebellion will eventuate in Divine judgment and eternal separation, punishment and suffering.
