05/25/17 SALVATION "WITH THE WORKS"

IT IS TRUE, you cannot "work" your way to heaven, you cannot earn eternal life by "works of self righteousness," and the "works of the flesh" are as filthy rags.

However, sinning religion also denies other works (DIVINE WORKS), which God requires of believers, such as salvation that,

Saves us from all sin in this present evil world,

Cleanses us from all unrighteousness,

Purifies us, even as Christ is pure,

Makes us holy, even as He is holy,

Makes us righteous, even as He is righteous,

Makes us more than conquerors,

Leads us in His triumph,

Enables us to walk in the Spirit and not walk in the flesh,

Fills us with pure love,

Leads us not into temptation,

Delivers us from the evil one,

Enables us to keep His commandments,

Enables us to do that which is pleasing in His sight,

Guide us into all truth.

When a person continues to live in sin, fails to enter into purity of heart, does not keep the moral law of God, then the works of God are absent, God's salvation is not working in that life.

Ephesians 2:8-10
(8) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
(9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.
(10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
