05/31/17 DON'T LET IT BE YOUR FINAL CURTAIN.

05/31/17 DON'T LET IT BE YOUR FINAL CURTAIN.

My West Nile Virus caused me to lose vision in one eye on two different occasions.
On one of those times the darkness started to close in from both sides of my eye, as if two curtains were being pulled to the middle.
On the other occasion the darkness started at the perimeter of my vision and started to close in like a tightening circle until there was no light at all.

Happily, God did not allow the blindness to continue, Praise His Name. But let me share a thought with you, based on these experiences.

Blindness came to my sighted eyes in two different ways, but both ways were sudden, though it took a few minutes for the blindness to cover my entire eye.

When sin is allowed in a believer's life, the light is closed out slowly. Though I could do nothing about my vision, the believer can repent of his sin (which causes the spiritual blindness) and God will instantly heal the believer. However, most people allow the darkness to cover their entire heart and breed various kinds of evil before they call on God to save them.

Walk in the Light and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, in fact, you will be delivered from your temptation completely. But if you do disobey God, be sure to call on Him quickly, before you lose all awareness of God's presence and grace.

1 John 2:1-6
(1) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
(2) And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
(3) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
(4) He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
(5) But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
(6) He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
