04/12/17 BE CAREFUL...
When someone moves from one social order to another, one nation to another (especially if it is because the life in the new nation appeals to them), I suggest that the person leave the old life behind and that they embrace the new life. Otherwise, just keep the old life in the old country. (Be careful here, I am not talking about worldly kingdoms).
2 Corinthians 5:17
(17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
There is chaos and tragedy when a person tries to realign a free country with the standards of their oppressive and destructive government. We often look at people who come here from Communism or Islam or Socialism and then they want to do things here like they did, "back home," and we think to ourselves, "If you don't like it here, then go home."
LIkewise, when a person wants the benefits of Christianity, but they want to bring the old life with them, then there is chaos. The person who has been saved from brutal slavery should not complain when they are given the privilege to live as a child of the King and serve their Father because they love Him. The codes, rules, laws of God's kingdom protect and promote godliness and peace and joy and love. It is absurd that anyone would want to exchange that for the chains and whip of a cruel taskmaster.
