GOD REJECTS THE RULE OF SELF-ISM
Deuteronomy 12:8 (warning to Israel)

(8) Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

Judges 21:25 (selfism is self rule)

(25) In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Psalms 36:1-4 (selfism is resistance of God rule)

(1) ...The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

(2) For he flatters himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

(3) The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

(4) He devises mischief upon his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he abhors not evil.

Proverbs 12:15 (godly counsel counteracts selfism)

(15) The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkens unto counsel is wise.

Proverbs 16:2 (selfism produces self deceit, but God is not fooled)
