Constant renewal does not need reviving. True revival produces constant renewal.
I am glad for the various channels of Revival that God provides in the local Body, whether it is through scheduled services, spontaneous services, "revival services," workshops, conferences, retreats, personal surrender, restoration of relationships, prayer and praise and study sessions. God is eager to revive the sickly and failing individual and local church.
However, true revival produces ongoing renewal. We should not need repeated revival, but we do need repeated refreshing of the Holy Spirit, which gives us constant renewal. Revival comes when God replaces self and sin. Renewal continues where God is on the throne of our hearts.
