12/22/17 SHOW CHRIST THIS CHRISTMAS
Through the years I have heard a number of horror stories related to family get togethers at Christmas. Let me encourage you, especially the followers of Christ, to put the focus on Jesus, keep the focus on Jesus and refuse to let Satan use you to instigate or aggravate or perpetuate even the slightest carnal conflict.
Remember, "If it be possible, AS MUCH AS LIETH IN YOU, live peaceably with all men" (Ro. 12:18). Sinners will act like sinners, and saints will act like the people of God.
And also remember, we are not actually celebrating the birth of the Prince of Peace if we are harboring resentment, anger, jealousy or pride.
Let the reality of Divine LOVE be seen in the way you love others. In fact, we as Christians will love even the unlovely, because that is what Christians do.
John 13:35
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Celebrate His birth with joy, love, peace, anticipation, humility, kindness, magnanimity. Be as excited as the shepherds and as reverent as the Magi.
