12/03/17 THE HONOR TO BE CHOSEN

12/03/17 THE HONOR TO BE CHOSEN

Mary, just like everyone else, needed salvation. She acknowledged this when she said that God was her Savior and that He was lifting her up, in spite of her low estate. Mary was the recipient of God's saving grace. Remember, God exalts those who humble themselves and He brings down those who exalt themselves.

Mary chose to live in the power of God's salvation as a young girl. This qualified her in the eyes of God to become the mother of Jesus. Remember, she "found favor in the eyes of God."

She was saved by the love, grace and mercy of God, which was manifested in a life that qualified her to serve God in a special way.

It is the love of God that reaches out to rebellious and lost souls. It is His love, mercy and grace that redeems us. But it is those who receive and faithfully live in His love, mercy and grace, that are qualified to serve Him in very special ways. This is how Mary, a redeemed sinner found favor with God and became the chosen vessel to bear the Christ Child.

We too, must find salvation through Christ.
We too, can live in a way that is pleasing to God.
We too, can carry the Light of the world to people lost in the darkness of sin.
