I love visiting Carteret County. I could have said I love living in Carteret County, but I am just visiting. You see, I am only passing through, since I am heading home to heaven. But at this point in time, I am greatly blessed to be in this beautiful part of the world. I love the natural surroundings, I love the people, I love the culture (the food, the brogue, the connection with the sea), I love the heritage and most of all, I love the fact that I get to share the love of Christ with others who are here also.
I remember a time when the message of Christ was not as popular in our area, therefore I am grateful for God's faithfulness to reach out to our community. For those who may sense a distance between you and God, I hope you will take advantage of His loving invitation to come to Him at this wonderful time of the year.
Time is short and night is about to settle in, engulfing the world in terrible darkness. Let the light of the "Star" of Bethlehem shine in your heart. Jesus is not only "The Reason For The Season," He is "the Light of the world."
John 8:12
