01/29/17 RULING ACCORDING TO DIVINE DECREE
Even in the Old Testament, when God wielded Theocratic rule, the kings of Israel and Judah were required to lead the people according to the standards set forth by God. Neither barbarism nor squeamishness were allowed to replace Divine judgment and justice.

Modern nations are still required by God to lead according to Divine standards. Nations cannot make up rules contrary to the will of God. This means that barbarism is not allowed, and it also means that avoiding the dirty work of war and jurisprudence are not allowed.

REBELLIOUS OVERTHROW
The further nations or national leaders are from God, the more likely they are to circumvent Divine order, by overstepping their authority or sidestepping their responsibility to prosecute and execute Divine judgment. For leaders to replace Divine directives with carnal choices is anarchy of the highest order.

GOD WIELDS TWO SWORDS
This is why God gave the sword of steel to the State and the Sword of the Spirit to the Church (Christians). The State bears the two edged sword of steel (providing protection from and punishment of wicked men), and the Church (the believer) bears the two edged Sword of the Spirit (which saves and separates people from sin and Satan). The sword of steel takes life in order to preserve order, the Sword of the Spirit gives life, by defeating Satan and delivering from sin.
