01/27/17 DON’T CONFUSE THE STATE WITH THE CHURCH

Waar Is Ugly, And God Gave Protection Of The Righteous To The State, Not The Church
(it is a necessary job, that God assigned to the State).

I don't get too worried about Trump (or anyone) saying that it is possible that he would waterboard a known terrorist in order to save people from a terrorist attack.

Like it or not, war is a nasty business that requires extreme actions by the leaders of nations. I don't like the idea of waterboarding, of bombing, of shooting, of imprisonment, of young men dying in the line of duty, but national defense is the State's primary business, as decreed by God.

Killing is wrong, but God gives the sword to the State (through the military and police and justice system). God does not allow killing otherwise or the use of the sword. God will hold leaders accountable for failing to protect the righteous and He will hold them accountable for misapplying their authority.

We cannot understand the will of God if we make the Church live by God's rule for the State, and make the State live by God's rule for the Church. They are separate entities in the Hand of God. The Church administers grace and salvation and the State administers protection and punishment. The State does not rule the Church and the Church does not rule the State.

And, By The Way,
* When someone says he (she) might waterboard, it does not mean that he (she) will do it.
* Saying that he will do it, is not the same as doing it (not the same as the previous point).
* Trump has never done it (so far).
* Torture is a legal word, which may or may not be applied to sanctions, depending on the viewpoint.

I would rather see one person, or a handful, or however many, actual monster terrorists suffer discomfort, rather than any, or hundreds, or thousands of innocent people killed by terrorists. Thousands died on 9-11 and tens of thousands of near relatives were deprived of those loved ones for a lifetime. Millions have suffered because a few terrorists were not stopped. The world changed because those monsters were not stopped.

Also keep in mind, all men are sinners until they are redeemed and transformed by the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Don't be confused, Obama approved, and ordered the killing, the beheading, the torture of the innocent pre-born and the new born (AND WHERE WAS THE OUTCRY?).

Being at war with the innocent and the downtrodden is not the same as being at war with terrorists and oppressors of the innocent.

I would call on all Christians to refrain from waterboarding anyone this week. I would also encourage the State to do that which God requires in order to protect the righteous and punish the wicked.

Romans 13:1-5
(1) Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
(2) Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
(3) For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
(4) For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
(5) Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

1 Peter 2:13-15
(13) Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
(14) Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
(15) For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

Those leaders and their followers, who refuse to use the sword of the State to protect the innocent and the righteous, stand condemned by God. No one, including government leaders, has the right to circumvent or transgress the law and rule of God. Christians are charged with wielding the Sword of the Spirit to bring salvation to the lost, and the State is charged with wielding the sword of protection and punishment to maintain peace. We cannot improve on God's plan and we cannot refuse God's plan without facing Divine judgment.
