01/05/17 NO ROOM FOR DAWDLING

01/05/17 NO ROOM FOR DAWDLING
All of life is a mosaic, an intricate tapestry. Each small part, each action ties into the final product. Sometimes a flaw in a crafted piece can be corrected with little loss of time or expenditure of energy.

But sometimes fixing, correcting, repairing can be very demanding and resource consuming. Sometimes it is impossible to rescue an item, and the piece must be destroyed and the project restarted.

This is true for living as well as nonliving projects. Physical health and therapy, education and athletics, city planning and building construction, nation building and economics, as well as the arts all require systematic and constant action.

In the cases of a human life, human relationships and salvation, it is vital to start the project correctly and to take each subsequent step carefully. To be slack or inconsistent or haphazard at any point can result in ruin and failure. When a project has a plan, and has dedicated and well trained workers, then the success of the endeavor is much more likely to happen.

God provides what we need to succeed in our lives individually, relationally, corporately, and spiritually. God has provided a plan, the expertise, the leadership, the atmosphere, the power, the support to be, and to become all that God wants us to be. Church and pastoral leadership/counsel are vital components in reaching our full potential in Christ. Treat these gifts of God with disdain and suffer the consequences of a stunted and weakened condition at best, or broken relationships, lost loved ones and personal apostasy at worst.
