01/08/17 RETURN TO THE WHOLE TRUTH OF GOD.
Without going into detail (which is very important), I will simply point out that many of the great truths (revelations, doctrines) of God, in the New Testament, were set aside, rejected, ignored, abandoned by the Church from the end of the first century until the time of the Reformation. Whenever sin reigns in the heart of churchmen, God's word is rejected and replaced by human ideas and values.

Doctrines (teachings) of God, found in the Bible concerning Soteriology (teachings about salvation), Ecclesiology (teachings about the Church), Eschatology (teachings about the end times), Pneumatology (teachings about the Holy Spirit), Missiology (teachings about the spread of the gospel) were hidden from the people by an apostate form of Christianity, and therefore they were lost to the people. There were "back to the Bible" groups and "reformers" who found and accepted Biblical truths concerning man's lost condition and God's salvation, and a great return to God and His word has been taking place since the 1500's.

The doctrines of the Church (leadership, fellowship, government, discipline, ministry, authority) are still lost to great numbers churches and Christians today. People do not want to accept and yield to Biblical authority and follow New Testament principles of discipline and discipleship, which explains the weakness and disunity in churches. God has given us His standards and if we choose not to accept God's way, we refuse to accept God.
