07/31/17 VERY FEW WILL READ THIS, BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO FACE THEIR OWN NEEDS

It is easy (for other people) to see how drugs (including alcohol) and gambling, and pornography and other addictions control and even consume a person. Sadly, the enslaved one is in denial and is blinded to the tragedy unfolding in his/her own life. This is true for societies as well. Look at the prevalence of alcohol use in Europe. It is part of the daily social structure, and is accepted as readily as consuming a meal, even though it is destroying individuals and families every day.

Satan also enslaves people to anger, pride, lust, greed, deceit, perversion, negativity, illicit pleasures, BUT STILL, people accept and view such thinking and behavior as social norms.

OK, let's just say that all of these things are social norms and acceptable to the religious community. However, that does not indicate that God approves of these viewpoints or actions.

Neither SELF nor SOCIETY nor SCIENCE determines what is right, what is acceptable, what is normal. GOD is the final authority on what is right and what is wrong. The sinful nature of humans will seek the lowest level, but the person who is redeemed by the miraculous saving power of Christ will seek the high and holy ground.

We can either choose our own selfish way, which finds acceptance with the world, or we can choose God's way of righteousness, which is rejected and and objected-to by a world, which is blind and deaf to God's standards and God's word.

Whether our sins are outwardly evident or inwardly hidden, God knows the inclination of our hearts. While there are very disciplined people who can turn from destructive behavior, no one can be free from the control of Satan and sin without the miraculous work of salvation that comes from the death and resurrection of Jesus.

It is time to stop living in the darkness and come into God's marvelous light and newness of life.

Hopefully, someone in need of this truth will see it, and say "yes" to God.
