02/08/17 A DANGEROUS HOAX
Let me dispel one of the great hoaxes of history. The so-called Reformation or Protestant Reformation or Church Reformation of the 16th century NEVER HAPPENED. (something did happen, and it has been referred to as a Reformation, but it is a total misnomer).

The Roman Catholic Church was not reformed.
The Protestant (the pro-testant) movement was not reformed.
The Church was not reformed.
Therefore, there was no Reformation of Christianity.

People refer to the "Christian Reformation" of the 16th century as a model of how Islam can be brought into the modern era. In other words they erroneously say that Islam can have a Reformation just as Christianity had a Reformation. WRONG. CHRISTIANITY DID NOT HAVE A REFORMATION.

ROMANISM
Biblical Christianity was never deformed. The Roman religion was a defection from Christianity. The Roman religion cannot be honestly referred to as "THE CHURCH." The Roman religion is an impostor. The Roman religion does not need to be reformed, it needs to be abandoned. The Roman religion is a false Christianity, not a faulty Christianity.

PROTESTANTISM
God had been speaking to people in the Roman religion for centuries, concerning its false doctrines, its false prophets and teachers, and its false practices. There had been localized "back to the Bible" movements rise up for centuries. However, most of them never reached the numbers of people that started coming out of Romanism during the 16th century. The schism (not a reformation) between Romanism and those who protested Romanism, was not a Protestant Reformation (reformation of the Protestant movement). However, after the split the Protestant movement moved quickly and further from Romanism than previous back to the Bible movements, especially as more Biblical truth was being rediscovered by the so-called Reformers. This supposed "reformation" period transitioned into a missionary movement as the Bible believers became more Biblical and evangelical in their understanding and commitment.

THE CHURCH
The Church (the true Church, the Biblical Church) is a mystical body of believers, rather than an institutional group, it is more of a spiritual organism than a social or religious organization.

The Church is the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ, the Building of Christ, it is not a temporal, business, religious group or movement. The Church is made up of those who follow Jesus and those who accept the authority of the Holy Bible.

It has been popular to think of all religious groups and organizations corporately as the Church, when it is more accurate to refer to this as Christendom. Christendom is the "organized church," rather than the spiritual Body of Christ.

The true Church has only one Head (Jesus), one revealed Scripture (the Holy Bible), one Lord, one faith, one foundation, one baptism, one hope. Christendom follows various leaders, accepts various written authorities, espouses human teaching, dreams temporal/organizational missions.

Christendom has experienced various reformations, but the true Church has not been reformed. When there is error in the true Church, it must repent and be transformed and conformed to the image of God.

Islam does not need to be reformed. It needs to be rejected and abandoned. The Church is the creation of God through the death and resurrection of Jesus and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The Church has the life of God, the truth of God, the power of God. Islam is a false religion, offering a false hope, denying the revelation and salvation of God.
